Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (and Smugly Self-Righteous) Includes Gross Exploitation of Illegal Alien Workers
It’s summer! Which means if you are reading this blog you are probably not in The Hamptons hanging out with the likes of Jay-Z, Beyoncé, the Cuomo brothers, Wall Street power brokers, and the other elitists who demand that the rest of us open up our borders, our hearts and our wallets to wave after wave of illegal aliens.
While the rest of us hope to grab a few days at a lake somewhere, the rich, famous and mostly Woke crowd flocking to their mansions on the eastern end of Long Island are living it up, courtesy of an army of illegal alien workers who are tending to their every need, reports the New York Post. Their invisible crew of illegal alien servants truly is invisible. When their day is done waiting on The Hamptons’ elitist summer residents, this army of workers disappears to squalid encampments in the Long Island woods, where they sleep under makeshift tarps. (Summer rentals in The Hamptons are a bit out of reach for workers making about $200 a day, after all.)
We probably should not be surprised by the self-righteous arrogance of the elitists (or, should we call them “privileged”?). These are the same people who fly into Davos every year on private jets to decide what the rest of us have to do to mitigate climate change. But for everyone who has had to listen to the moralizing of the Hollywood set and coastal elites about how awful we are to say that our borders should be secured and our immigration laws enforced, Summer 2022 in The Hamptons provides all the justification we need to tell them to just shut up.
