Migrant Tells Illegal Aliens How to “Invade” American Homes in Viral Video
Imagine this: you leave your home to go on vacation. In the past, you’ve never thought twice about it. You lock your doors, and everything is fine. This time, you return home only to find illegal aliens have begun living in your home. And depending on where you live, they may have the right to stay.
A video is going viral on TikTok and was translated by the New York Post, in which Leonel Moreno, a Venezuelan migrant with half a million followers, tells illegal aliens how they can invade homes in the United States.
He explains, “If a house is not inhabited, we can seize it.” He is talking about certain places with squatters’ rights laws that make it very hard to evict someone who has moved in after a certain amount of time.
There have been two recent cases in the New York City area that show the dangers of these squatters’ rights laws and how illegal aliens could take advantage.
In one case, Nidia Vitels traveled to New York City to prepare her mother’s apartment for some guests. It turns out two squatters had taken over the apartment and allegedly beat her to death.
In the other case, a woman inherited her parents’ $1 million home in Queens after they passed. She put the home on the market last month, only to realize that squatters had moved in and changed the locks. One day, she showed up to find the front door open, so she went in and saw the squatters and decided to call a locksmith to swap the locks. The men, reportedly squatting, called the police. The police said the men couldn’t be kicked out and that she would have to go to court. The woman was ultimately arrested for changing the locks to her own home.
In New York City, where nearly 200,000 migrants have arrived since the Biden border crisis began, squatters can claim rights to a home after only 30 days of living there, even if they broke into the house illegally in the first place. As New York City has now limited migrants’ stays in city-run shelters to 60 days, those people will need somewhere to go, but the opportunity is open to anyone who manages to illegally occupy a home for as little as one month.
The video of the Venezuelan advising illegal aliens to invade abandoned houses has racked up over 3.9 million views…
According to a translation from Breitbart, Moreno is bold enough to declare, “That will be my next business, invading abandoned houses.” He also says, “My African friends have told me that they have already taken about seven homes.” “You have to look for the return, and the return right now is to invade a house.”
However perverse it might seem, the law appears to condone what Moreno is advising his TikTok audience. If citizens find squatters in their homes, they must deal with the potential legal costs of removing them. Further, they face potentially getting arrested if they take matters into their own hands. On top of it, squatters may damage a home, and the resident may have to live somewhere else for the time being, while also being obligated to pay the utility bills run up by their uninvited guests.
As the crisis at our borders shows no signs of slowing down, and federal and local governments continue to demonstrate that lawbreakers are often afford more rights than their victims, illegal aliens will continue to search for places to live in the interior of the United States. If they take this Venezuelan influencer’s advice, they may just end up squatting in homes.
