FAIR Applauds Supreme Court Refusal to Rehear Case on Illegal Obama Amnesty
This decision is a big win for both the rule of law and American people, who have shown strong and consistent opposition to an amnesty.
—Dan Stein, President of FAIR
(October 3, 2016 — Washington, D.C.) — Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) President Dan Stein today applauded the U.S. Supreme Court’s refusal to rehear the case over President Obama’s executive amnesty actions on immigration.
“The Supreme Court’s refusal to rehear the Obama Administration’s controversial executive amnesty actions upholds the balance of power laid out in the Constitution while reminding the president that attempts at executive overreach of power will not be tolerated by the Supreme Court. This decision is a big win for both the rule of law and American people, who have shown strong and consistent opposition to an amnesty.
“The case can now be settled at the U.S. District Court in Texas, based on its merits.”
