Congress

FAIR consistently strives to provide quality analyses of congressional resolutions and bills related to immigration. Throughout the 118th Congress, FAIR put forward thorough analysis of numerous bills, including FY2024 and 2025 appropriations bills, the Biden-Harris administration’s supplemental foreign aid request, the National Defense Authorization Act for 2024, and continuing resolutions to temporarily fund the federal government. As votes on FAIR supported/opposed legislation occur, the Government Relations team also updates voting reports to inform the public on how their representatives voted.

FAIR also regularly offers analysis of committee efforts as they conduct oversight of federal agencies and consider immigration-related topics. To name just a few examples, FAIR provided background detailing exploitative conditions for unaccompanied alien children for the Senate Budget Committee, broke down a Congressional Budget Office report detailing the fiscal burdens of immigration following a House Budget Committee hearing, and has covered committee hearings on topics ranging from illegal alien crime to the immigration court backlog.
