December 2011 — Irfan Qadir, a Pakistani illegal immigrant, pled guilty in Houston, Texas to importing and distributing thousands of counterfeit Viagra and Cialis pills from China. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison. (Houston Chronicle, December 19, 2011)

December 2011 — Evelio Cervantes-Conde, a Cuban illegal alien, was sentenced in Tucson to a 12+ year term for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. (AP in Arizona Daily Star, December 15, 2011)

December 2011 — Dennis Sorto Enamorado, an illegal alien from Honduras living in Louisiana, pled guilty to soliciting sex with a minor and attempting to receive child pornography from that same minor and was sentenced to 121 months of imprisonment. December 2011 — Jose Luis Garcia, an illegal alien, pled guilty Illinois to conspiracy to distribute and possess cocaine. (KSDK.com news, December 14, 2011)

December 2011 — Roman Ceniceros Mora, an illegal alien who had been deported several times was convicted in Washington of 42 counts of federal fraud related to unlawfully getting supplemental security income and food stamps; falsely claiming to be a U.S. citizen and making a false statement on an application for a passport. He was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment. (Seattle Times, December 14, 2011)

December 2011 — Rodrigo Ibara Alfaro, an illegal alien, pled guilty in New Mexico to aggravated assault against a household member with a deadly weapon and battery against a household member. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison. (Las Cruces Sun-News, December 13, 2011)

December 2011 — Alan Nolan, an Irish illegal alien, pled guilty to two counts of armed robbery in New Jersey in 2007 and 2010. The prosecutor is asking for a sentence of ten years. (Star-Ledger, December 8, 2011)

December 2011 — Jose Avila-Alva, a Mexican illegal alien who had been deported in 2006, shot and killed his four young children and critically wounded his wife before committing suicide. He had been reported to authorities a week earlier for spousal abuse after his wife had been admitted to a women’s crisis shelter, but he was not detained because she refused to file charges. December 2011 — Norma Coronel, an illegal alien, was sentenced in Los Angeles to 18 months in federal prison for defrauding the U.S. Government by filing fraudulent income tax returns involving 20 nonexistent children. She was also ordered to pay $302,186 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service. (Los Angeles Times, December 5, 2011)

November 2011 — Manuel Enrique Zelaya-Rodriguez, an illegal alien, was convicted in Huntsville, Alabama of coercing a minor to engage in prostitution. The underage girl forced into prostitution was herself illegally in the United States. Zelaya was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison. (AP in Republic, November 30, 2011)

November 2011 — Salvador Sarabia, a twice convicted (burglaries, drug-related charges and criminal sexual abuse of a minor) and twice deported illegal alien, was caught red-handed with an accomplice after a break-and-enter robbery at a home in Elgin, Illinois. Because of Cook County’s sanctuary policy for illegal aliens, he was released and subsequently skipped bail. (Daily Herald, November 28, 2011)

November 2011 — Melecio C. Hernandez, an illegal alien, was convicted of sexually assaulting a female neighbor in Chester, Virginia. He was sentenced to 4 months in jail. (Richmond Times-Dispatch, November 23, 2011)

November 2011 — Paul Amay, an Ecuadoran illegal alien, was sentenced in Putnam County, New York to 22 years to life in prison for murdering his wife. (AP in Wall Street Journal, November 16, 2011)

November 2011 — Daniel Garcia, a Mexican illegal alien, pled no contest to a charge of drunk driving manslaughter in Sarasota, Florida and was sentenced to 13 years in prison. (AP in Miami Herald, November 15, 2011).

November 2011 — Isaias Carrasco-Vega, a Mexican deportable alien, was sentenced in Arizona to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with the intent to distribute 7 kilograms of methamphetamine and 17 kilograms of cocaine. (Nogales International, November 15, 2011)

November 2011 — Ernesto Aguilar, a Mexican illegal alien, pled guilty in Utah to distributing five grams or more of methamphetamine and carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. (Spectrum, November 7, 2011)

November 2011 — Juan Diego Villa-Francisco, a Mexican illegal alien, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison for being illegally in possession of ammunition. (Montgomery Advertiser, November 3, 2011)

November 2011 — Jose Antonio Reyes-Maradiaga, a Salvadoran illegal alien, pled guilty in Maryland to transporting prostitutes. He faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. (Capital, November 2, 2011)

October 2011 — Vicente Torres-Meza, an illegal alien, was sentenced in Naperville, Illinois to 13 years in prison for sexually assaulting a pre-teenage girl in his home. (Naperville Sun-Times, October 31, 2011)

October 2011 — Carlos A. Martinelly Montano, a Bolivian illegal alien was convicted of the hit-and-run drunk driving felony death of a nun in Prince William County, Virginia. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Martinelly had two previous drunk driving convictions. He had been turned over to DHS for deportation in 2008 but was released with a work permit pending deportation. (Washington Times, October 31, 2011, and AP, February 4, 2012)

October 2011 — Humberto Lorenzo-Diaz, an illegal alien pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the case of a drug-gang murder in Conyers, Ga. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. (Rockdale Citizen, October 25, 2011)

October 2011 — Octavio Hernandez-Coronado, a Mexican illegal alien, is serving a 52-month sentence in Marion County, Oregon for three counts of assault, one count of failing to perform the duty of a driver to an injured person, and one count of driving with a suspended license. The conviction resulted from an accident that injured seven people. Hernandez had two previous drunk driving convictions. (Radio Station KXL, Portland, Ore. Oct. 13, 2011)

October 2011 — Perla Edith Hernandez, a Mexican illegal alien, pled guilty to aggravated child abuse, reduced from a charge of capital murder, for the death of her infant son. She was sentenced in Alabama to 20 years in prison. Her boyfriend, Ambrocio Ramirez-Vite, earlier pled guilty to capital murder and aggravated child abuse and was sentenced to life in prison plus ten years. (WHNT News, October 11, 2011)

October 2011 — Armando Rodriguez-Benitez, an illegal alien, was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment in Wisconsin for drunk driving the wrong way on an interstate highway and causing two accidents. Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. criticized the lightness of the sentence and asked ICE to place a detainer on the prisoner so that he will be deported upon release. September 2011 — A Chinese illegal alien, Xian Liu Yue, was convicted in Santa Fe, New Mexico of conspiracy associated with assisting illegal aliens fraudulently obtain New Mexico driver’s licenses. She faces a possible sentence of 18 months imprisonment. (AP in Houston Chronicle, September 28, 2011)

September 2011 — Oscar Garay-Mariscal, a Mexican deportable alien, pled guilty to conspiracy to transport immigrants for profit resulting in the death in June 2009 of 11 illegal aliens when the van he was driving tried to elude the Border Patrol and crashed. He was sentenced in Arizona to 5 years imprisonment. (Arizona Daily Star, September 27, 2011)

September 2011 — Victor Rodriguez, an illegal alien, was sentenced in Omaha, Neb. to 10-20 years in prison for the dunk driving accident that resulted in the death of a young man. Rodriguez had been speeding and fled the scene of the crash. (KETV.com September 20, 2011)

September 2011 — A Haitian illegal alien, Jean Verly, pled guilty in Berks County Pennsylvania to third-degree murder and conspiracy. (AP in Houston Chronicle, September 10, 2011)

September 2011 — Carlos Armando Calixtro-Bustamante, a Mexican, pled guilty in Arizona to “Commit Hostage Taking, Hostage Taking and Harboring Illegal Aliens.” He was sentenced in to spend 15 years and 8 months in federal prison. (KVOA-TV, September 14, 2011)

September 2011 — Edy Porfirio Reynoso-Ramirez, a Mexican illegal alien, caused a DUI hit-and-run accident that caused a death in Multnomah County, Oregon on Aug. 30, 2011. He had no driver license or insurance. In November 2003 he had been detained and released by Portland police for driving without a license and also had been previously arrested and charged with providing alcohol to minors, but was not prosecuted. He was sentenced in January 2012 to 7 ½ years in prison. (Examiner, September 1, 2011)

August 2011 — Manuel Ivan Castillo-Estrada, a Mexican deportable alien, pled guilty to knowingly concealing and harboring an illegal immigrant for profit in South Texas. He faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. (Associated Press, August 31, 2011)

August 2011 — Diones Graciano-Navarro, a Dominican, is in jail in Texas for a drunk driving conviction and is facing deportation for the third time after pleading guilty to reentering the country illegally after deportation. His “rap sheet” includes 40 arrests. (Dallas Morning News, August 28, 2011)

August 2011 — Nicholas Gauman, an Ecuadorian illegal alien, is under arrest for a drunk driving homicide in Massachusetts. According to the local police chief, Gauman was previously convicted of “breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, and on three assault and battery charges, as well as several other charges.” (Telegram, August 25, 2011)

August 2011 — Juan Ignacio Chavarria-Ontiveros, a deportable alien from Mexico, was convicted in McAllen, Texas of importing illegal immigrants for prostitution, conspiracy to harbor and harboring illegal immigrants. He was sentenced to seven years in prison. (Houston Chronicle, August 24, 2011)

August 2011 — Josue Leonel Torres-Benavides, a Mexican illegal alien, was sentenced in McAllen, Texas to 10 years in prison for assaulting a Border Patrol agent and possessing a gun and marijuana. (Houston Chronicle, August 18, 2011)

August 2011 — A Hanover, Va. judge sentenced illegal alien Feliciano Aguas Suarez to 12 years imprisonment for manslaughter resulting from a drunk-driving accident that caused one death and for driving without a license. (WTVR News, August 15, 2011)

August 2011 — A Mexican illegal alien, Tomas De la Rocha-Vargas, pled guilty in Nogales, Ariz. to attempted second-degree burglary. He was sentenced to two years imprisonment. (Nogales International, August 16, 2011)

August 2011 — Pedro Marcos-Marcos, a Guatemalan illegal alien, was sentenced in Los Angeles to 20 years in federal prison following a guilty plea to harboring illegal immigrants and conspiracy to harbor illegal immigrants. He was part of an illegal alien smuggling and extortion racket. (Los Angeles Times, August 15, 2011)

August 2011 — Felix Dominguez Ortega, a Mexican illegal alien, pled guilty to reckless murder, for an accident that killed two teenagers in Georgia when he was driving drunk at an estimated 70 miles per hour. He had three prior DOI arrests. He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. (Huntsville Times, August 15, 2011)

July 2011 — Jose Ciro Juarez-Santamaria, an illegal alien from El Salvador, and a member of the MS-13 gang, was convicted in Alexandria, Virginia of conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation of a minor for prostitution. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and could get a life sentence. (Washington Examiner, July 28, 2011)

July 2011 — Leopoldo Salas-Gayton, an illegal alien, was convicted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, homicide by the use of a vehicle with a prohibitive alcohol level, and operating without a valid license and causing death to another person. July 2011 — Carlos Barragan-Garcia, a previously deported illegal alien, pled guilty in Butte County, California to felony of possession of methamphetamines for sale. He admitted to having two prior narcotics convictions. He faces a maximum sentence of nine years in prison. (Contra Costa Times, July 20, 2011)

July 2011 — Simon Banda-Mireles, a Mexican who illegally reentered the U.S. after deportation as Joge DeLarco, pled guilty to harboring 25 to 100 illegal aliens whom he employed in his restaurants in New York and elsewhere. He also admitted to paying those workers less than the minimum wage. He and ten of his restaurant managers were arrested in 2008. To date 6 of the managers have been convicted, and trials are pending for the other 4. Banda-Mireles was sentenced to 46 months in prison, and must pay restitution in the amount of $239,089 to 15 illegal aliens who worked for him. He also agreed to forfeit $70,009 to the government. July 2011 — Three Mexicans, Jose Horta Gutterrez, Leonardo Rios Sanchez, and Alvaro Barajas, pled no contest to holding illegal aliens captive for ransom in Rancho Cucamonga, California and were sentenced to three years in state prison. (Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, July 6, 2011)
June 2011 — Taesan Won, a Korean illegal alien, pled guilty in Alexandria, Virginia to running a call girl service supplied with illegal aliens. Under the terms of the plea agreement, he faces a maximum 10 years in prison with a $250,000 fine and eventual deportation. (Washington Times, June 7, 2011)

May 2011 — Mariano Murillo Anguiano, a Mexican illegal alien, pled guilty to attempted murder and was sentenced to 5 years in prison. The conviction resulted from a shoot-out between rival drug smuggling gangs in Salt Lake City, Utah that wounded one person. He had been previously convicted of drug trafficking in 2008 and received probation in exchange for his acceptance of deportation. Francisco Anguiano-Roman, a cousin, also pled guilty in December to attempted murder for the same shoot-out and was sentenced to 5 years to life in prison. (The Spectrum, May 25, 2010)

May 2011 — Amando Ixtlilco-Hernandez, a Mexican illegal alien, plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and was sentenced in Rapid City, South Dakota to 210 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. (Rapid City Journal, May 23, 2011)

May 2011 — Jose Luciano-Herrera, a Mexican illegal alien, was convicted of first degree murder in a stabbing death last year in Pennsylvania. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. (Observer-Reporter, May 13, 2011)

April 2011 — Manuel Cazares, a Mexican illegal alien was found guilty of murder in the stabbing deaths of his former girlfriend and her boyfriend in Hannibal, Missouri. (KHQA.com April 14, 2011)

April 2011 — Said Biyad, a Somali immigrant (legal status unknown), was convicted of killing his four children and raping and attempting to murder his wife in Kentucky. (Associated Press, April 23, 2011)

April 2011 — Frank Alexis Reyna, an illegal alien from the Dominican Republic, was convicted of stabbing a man to death in Manassas, Virginia in 2008. However, Reyna was using the identity of Edgardo Aquino Castro of Puerto Rico and authorities treated Reyna as a U.S. citizen. It was not until April of 2011 that Reyna’s true identity and illegal status was discovered. (The Washington Examiner, April 21, 2011)

April 2011 — Nelio Sotomayor, a Peruvian, who was charged with responsibility for a head-on collision in Pennsylvania that killed a woman, fled the country after an order for his arrest was issued. Sotomayor’s immigration status was not clear, but he did not have a U.S. driver’s license. (Trentonian, April 19, 2011)

April 2011 — Faleh Hassan Almaleki, an Iraqi — whose immigration status is unclear — was sentence in Arizona to 34-1/2 years in prison for running over his daughter with his car and killing her “…because she became too Westernized.” At the same time he hit with his car and seriously injured his daughter’s boyfriend. April 2011 — Nestor Gabriel Caballero Gutierrez, a Honduran, and Jose Luis Arevalo, a Guatemalan, pled guilty to attempted kidnapping for ransom of an 87-year-old businesswoman in Oregon. A third Honduran accused in the crime, Ramon Alberto Midence, has yet to come to trial. Caballero faces a prison term of 14-1/2 years. (UPI, April 6, 2011)

April 2011 — Ruben Garcia-Rosario, a Mexican illegal alien, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for plotting to kidnap for ransom two girls attending a Cornelius, North Carolina elementary school. (Charlotte-Observer, April 6, 2011)

March 2011 — Montgomery, Alabama authorities announced that Jose Antonio Pais, an illegal alien was responsible for the murder of the owner of a pizza shop in 2009. Pais fled the United States shortly thereafter, as did a companion who was a witness to the crime. Pais subsequently died in a construction accident in his home country. March 2011 — Randi Rivas Lopez, a Guatemalan illegal alien, pled guilty in New Jersey to murder in connection with the 2007 beating death of his girlfriend’s 3-month-old daughter. (News of Cumberland County, March 8, 2011)

March 2011 — An illegal alien living in South San Francisco, Jose Perez-Gonzalez, was sentenced to 11 years and 8 months in prison for beating and blinding an elderly woman who surprised him after he broke into her home. (San Francisco Chronicle, March 3, 2011)

March 2011 — Alvaro Holguin Duarte, an illegal alien, was sentenced to life in prison in Phoenix, Arizona for the violent death of his girlfriend’s 3-year old daughter whom he was babysitting. (FOX-10 TV News, March 2, 2011)

February 2011 — Salvadoran illegal alien Ingmar Guandique, who was convicted of the first-degree murder of Congressional staffer Chondra Levy, was sentenced to 60 years in prison. (Washington Post, February 12, 2011)

February 2011 — Two illegal aliens, Carlos Hernandez and Santiago Jimenez, pled guilty to rape in Virginia Beach, Va. They abducted a woman at knife point into a van where they took turns raping her. (Daily Press, February 9, 2011)

February 2011 — Hernan Mendieta, a Honduran illegal alien, was sentenced to 60 years in prison in Texas for fatally shooting his estranged wife and wounding a passing motorist at the same time.

January 2011 — A Mexican illegal alien, David Luna Sanchez, pled guilty to second-degree murder in Waynesboro, Virginia and was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 17 suspended, for a net time to serve of 13 years.

January 2011 — An illegal alien from Honduras, Manuel Fajardo-Santos, was sentenced in New Jersey to seven years in prison for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl. (Associated Press on NECN.com, January 19, 2011)

January 2011 — A Mexican illegal alien, Marco Rosendo Flores-Fuentes, was sentenced to 31 months of imprisonment for illegally reentering the United States after being deported in 1994 for drug smuggling and trafficking. In 2008, back in the United States illegally he struck and killed a bicyclist in a bike lane in downtown Washington, DC while driving a garbage truck. He was not identified by ICE as an illegal alien until July 2010. (WTOP.com, January 18, 2011)

January 2011 — Mario Montalban-Ramirez, who has an extensive rap sheet including two murders, is being held in the Twin Cities for deportation to Mexico. It will be his fourth deportation. He was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in Illinois in 1982, convicted of murder in Texas in 1984 and has been often held in local jails for such offenses as DWI, theft, assault and being a fugitive from justice. He was deported to Mexico in 1996, 1997 and 2003. His 1982 manslaughter conviction resulted in a sentence to four years behind bars. Apparently on parole in April 1984, he stabbed a man to death in Texas. That led to a sentence of eight years in prison. He served just two years behind bars before he was again paroled. He was not deported after either murder but was deported three times later for lesser crimes. (Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune, January 17, 2011)

January 2011 — Tereso Olivo and his wife Nancy Olivo were found guilty in Texas of human smuggling for the employment and prostitution of Mexican illegal aliens in their tavern outside the city of Mission. The wife, who is an illegal alien, was sentenced to two years of probation and six months of house arrest and is subject to deportation.

January 2011 — Angel Antonio-Chavarria, a Guatemalan illegal alien was sentenced in Annapolis, Md. to 25 years in prison for rape of a pedestrian in a residential neighborhood.
