Borderline Bizarre: Immigration Lobby Wants MORE From Biden

Immigration enthusiasts say they are distressed by President Joe Biden’s performance, complaining he has failed to deliver on his two-year-old campaign promises. Evidently, these glass-half-empty folks have an insatiable thirst that no number of immigrants can ever quench.
As Politico put it, Biden is nowhere close to making good on his pledge to build a “fair and humane” immigration system. If “fair and humane” means stopping en masse illegal entries and ending criminal human trafficking, then the president’s critics have a point. But those are not their goalposts.
The mass migration crowd conveniently ignores the record surge of illegal aliens that continues to barge across the southern border. Friendly media periodically tout big “encounter” tallies by the Border Patrol, but half step the story by failing to report on the vast numbers of migrants who are simply turned loose into this country.
A small but illustrative snapshot provided by Syracuse University’s TRAC system shows immigration judges dismissing 63,586 illegal entry cases because the Border Patrol filed no “Notices to Appear” with the courts. Thus, one of every six cases was thrown out for this reason alone during the past fiscal year. Biden’s concurrent purge of immigration court judges (also underreported) threatens to further subvert the legal system.
Meantime, there has been only superficial coverage of the emasculation of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the resulting collapse in deportations – even of criminal aliens — from the U.S. interior.
On Biden’s watch, legal immigration is on a fast track, too. The number of foreign-born residents in this country is at an all-time high, while the percentage is fast approaching historic levels.
None of this placates rabid mass immigration advocates pushing irresponsible policies that run completely counter to mainstream public opinion. Could such fanaticism provide Biden with a Sista Souljah moment to triangulate out of the mess he has created?
When Bill Clinton called out the Black rapper for her incendiary rants about the 1992 Los Angeles riots, it helped propel him into the White House. Backing off his own radical immigration agenda and standing up to the open-borders lobby could help Joe Biden stay there.
