Biden’s Border Policies Clear the Way for Teen Sex Traffic

An illegal alien who had been deported more than 15 times was arrested this month on charges of prostituting a teenage girl in San Antonio. The sex-trafficking case is yet another indictment of lax immigration enforcement and the Biden administration’s wholesale admission of unaccompanied minors into this country.
Juan Carlos Diaz-De la Cruz, 29, of Mexico, was charged with sexual assault of a child, trafficking of a child and prostitution. Authorities said “Karlos” kept the 17-year-old migrant in a stash house and rented her out as a sex slave for $150 per encounter.
An informant, aptly named Trevino Cartel, told investigators that Diaz-De la Cruz was involved in human smuggling operations, with ties to a Mexican crime syndicate.
The San Antonio case highlights a growing incidence of cross-border sex trafficking.
“By loosening border security and all but inviting migrants to come illegally, administration officials have ironically put the youngest, most vulnerable migrants in harm’s way. While the administration cloaks its actions in the language of compassion, there is nothing compassionate about policies that allow children to fall into the clutches of human traffickers and sexual predators,” a recent essay noted.
FAIR reported earlier this month that the federal government had lost contact with some 20,000 unaccompanied migrant children released from its custody.
A.J. Louderback, who sits on the National Sheriffs’ Association border security committee, calls the administration complicit in the “horrific” sex-trafficking trade. “It’s something that the U.S. government is actually … a party to. This administration and the lawlessness they represent is hard to believe, and yet here it is happening,” he said.
Though barred from entering the U.S., Diaz-De la Cruz turned up on a South Texas ranch with a large group of migrants (prospective earners?). After his arrest by local authorities, “Karlos” admitted that he pimped out the teen and had sex with her multiple times while she was held in a San Antonio stash house.
Another case of Mexico not sending its best, and Joe Biden’s disastrous border policies enabling the worst of the worst.
