Illegal Alien Brutally Murders Man, Plays Soccer with His Head
As record numbers of illegal migrants pour across our southern border, not surprisingly, apprehensions of criminal migrants is on the rise. In Fiscal Year (FY) 2021, which began in October, through the end of May, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) apprehended 6,918 criminal migrants with convictions ranging from driving under the influence to assault and battery, and brutal murder. This number does not include those illegal aliens who have evaded Border Patrol and are now living within the interior of the country. Communities are feeling the impacts.
On June 29, three illegal aliens stole weapons, ammunition, food and clothing from a ranch house in Hudspeth County, Texas. Big Bend Sector Chief Patrol Agent Sean L. McGoffin stated, “With the presence of weapons in the wrong hands, this situation could have turned violent; fortunately, our agents were able to control the encounter and bring it to a peaceful resolution.”
That same day, another illegal alien, Joel Arciniega-Saenz, was indicted by a grand jury after murdering 51-year-old James Garcia at Apodaca Park in New Mexico on June 20. He is accused of decapitating Garcia before mutilating the rest of his body and kicking his head like a soccer ball at 14 nearby cars. Arciniega-Saenz is being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center without bail. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has a detainer on Arciniega-Saenz, requesting that local authorities do not release him from jail until they can take custody.
This was not Arciniega-Saenz’s first offense. Not only did he cross into the U.S. illegally, but he was also previously arrested in 2017 in connection to the murder of 21-year-old Benjamin Montoya at a Las Cruces motel, but the charges were dismissed a year later. He was then arrested again in May after being caught throwing rocks at businesses. Arciniega-Saenz was out on bail during the time of his latest crime.
The sister of James Garcia told CBS 4 News, “I don’t want this guy to be released again and go do something stupid again and go hurt another family again. No matter how much I hurt from my brother, I can say that I hurt for this person‘s family. He needs to be put away period.”
So far in this fiscal year, CBP has apprehended 40 illegal aliens with previous convictions of homicide and manslaughter. By comparison, in the last five years, the previous high was in FY 2016, when they apprehended eight. Even during the 2019 border crisis, only 2 of the 4,269 apprehended criminal aliens had previous murder convictions.
Clearly, President Biden’s immigration policies are drawing more criminal aliens to our border. The current administration refuses to enforce basic immigration policy that would protect our country and ensure aliens be prosecuted for their actions. As a result, American communities are having to face the consequences of such lawlessness.
