Presenting the FAIR Message to Spanish Language Media
The Spanish-language media is understandably intensely focused on the immigration issue in general and on the amnesty push in particular. Most of the journalists and commentators are first or second generation immigrants or Puerto Ricans but that does not mean that they are necessarily pro-amnesty and it does not mean that they present a one-sided view of the issue. While I am often the only non-Hispanic on a panel with two or three Latinos in a discussion of immigration issues, sometimes, as in this recent CNN-Spanish broadcast, it is just me and the interviewer. On the same day I also was interviewed by Univision. It is worth knowing that the Spanish-speaking population is hearing our side of the discussion.[youtube xqZdzEO-Z2Q]
