Administrative Amnesty is Already Happening

We’re beginning to wonder whether President Obama’s public displays of frustration that he can’t get an amnesty bill passed is simply a foil to divert attention away from the fact that amnesty is already underway! Amnesty has no hope legislatively but getting it done piecemeal — using the administrative apparatus of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to dismiss large categories of otherwise deportable illegal aliens — amounts to almost the same thing. FAIR’s recently published FOX News article explores the “alternative” methods this administration is using to bypass Congress.
