Dan SteinReport photo Dan Stein, President
Prior to joining FAIR in 1982, Dan was executive director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute. His legal experience includes private practice and as congressional staff. He has testified more than 50 time before Congress. Cited in the media as "America's best known immigration reformer," he has appeared on virtually every significant TV and radio news/talk program in America and has contributed commentaries to a vast number of print media outlets.
FAIR's Jack Martin Jack Martin, Director of Special Projects
Jack, who joined FAIR in 1995, is a retired U.S. diplomat with consular experience. He has testified before the U.S. Congress, U.S. Civil Rights Commission, and U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform and has authored studies of immigration issues. His national and international print, TV, and talk radio experience is extensive (including in Spanish).
Ira Mehlman, Media Director
Ira joined FAIR in 1986 with experience as a journalist, professor of journalism, special assistant to Gov. Richard Lamm (Colorado), and press secretary of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. His columns have appeared in National Review, LA Times, NY Times, Washington Post, Newsweek,, and more. He is an experienced TV and radio commentator.
Bob Dane, Press Secretary/Communications Director
Bob joined FAIR in 2006 after 20 years in the radio broadcast industry, mostly with Westwood One/CBS Radio Networks. His various management, marketing, media, and on-air work combined with early career policy work under the Reagan Administration makes him an ideal spokesperson for radio with broad and passionate perspectives on immigration.
