Daniel Stein
President
Prior to joining FAIR in 1982, Dan was executive director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute. His legal experience includes private practice and as congressional staff. He has testified more than 50 times before Congress. Cited in the media as "America's best known immigration reformer," he has appeared on virtually every significant TV and radio news/talk program in America and has contributed commentaries to a vast number of print media outlets.
Julie Kirchner
Executive Director
Julie joined FAIR in 2005. She is responsible for overall management and decision making of the organization and its programs. Julie provides oversight and development for directors and staff. Julie has grown with the organization and draws from her experience both outside of FAIR and also from her time with the organization.
Melissa Bradley
Membership Services Coordinator
Melissa joined our staff in 1994. She coordinates membership and is the primary member services contact for FAIR. Melissa brings wonderful customer service and development skills to the organization. Her institutional knowledge and caring approach are priceless to FAIR members.
Bob Dane
Communications Director
Bob joined FAIR in 2006 after 20 years in the radio broadcast industry, mostly with Westwood One/CBS Radio Networks. His various management, marketing, media, and on-air work combined with early career policy work under the Reagan Administration makes him an ideal spokesperson for radio with broad and passionate perspectives on immigration.
Sarah Dansereau
Government Relations Director
Sarah joined FAIR in 2010. She is responsible for reviewing legislation and legal opinions, acting as a liaison between the organization and Congress, and managing the daily functions of the Government Relations Department. Sarah brings to FAIR her legal background and government and non-profit experience.
Christine Doane
Direct Mail Marketing Manager
Christine joined FAIR in 2011. She manages FAIR's expansive direct mail fundraising program whose goal is to reach new audiences and educate readers about current immigration policies. She also oversees FAIR's reporting database to ensure all information is up to date and accurate.
Rosalind Fairfax
Web Metrics Analyst
Rosalind joined FAIR in 2009. She conducts analyses of FAIR email campaigns, and tracks and assesses trends and its implications. She works collaboratively with different departments to assist them to target the audience. She is also responsible to maintain and update the websites.
Karl Filippini
Webmaster
Karl joined FAIR in 1998. He maintains and evaluates FAIR's website and manages E-Mail traffic. Karl offers a mixture of technical and issue related knowledge. As technology changes Karl helps FAIR remain ahead of the curve.
Crystal Freeman
Assistant Webmaster/Design Associate
Crystal joined our staff in 2002. She is responsible for design, layout, and typesetting of most FAIR materials, including the Immigration Report newsletter, handouts, brochures,studies, and publications. While also assisting with the maintenance and development of FAIR web site, Crystal offers a creative touch and sense of style to all FAIR projects.
Jen Harris
Director of Finance and Administration
Jen joined FAIR in 2011. She has 20 years experience in non-profit accounting and several years experience in government and private accounting. Jen is responsible for managing the operations of finance and administration including human resources, information systems, finance, and general office support.
Adrienne Gant-Odom
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Adrienne joined FAIR in 2004. She is the first voice and face to greet visitors, friends, and staff each day. Adrianne handles all incoming calls by routing them to the proper staff member. She also provides administrative and office operations support. Adrienne has grown with the organization and offers experience from other positions held with FAIR.
Gwen Girlie
Manager of Information Systems
Gwen joined FAIR in 1992. She serves as primary administrator of the technical network. As technology changes and grows, Gwen maintains all data and voice networks while updating applications and hardware when necessary. Gwen's knowledge allows FAIR employees to have access to the tools needed in today's computer age.
Ashley Hall
Executive Assistant/Development Assistant
Ashley joined FAIR in 2011. She is responsible for maintaining the president’s schedule and correspondence. She also serves as a liaison for the Board of Directors and Advisors and coordinates the three annual Board Meetings. Ashley brings with her an educational background in American Studies and experience working for nonprofit theatres.
Jack Martin
Director of Special Projects
Jack, who joined FAIR in 1995, is a retired U.S. diplomat with consular experience. He has testified before the U.S. Congress, U.S. Civil Rights Commission, and U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform and has authored studies of immigration issues. His national and international print, TV, and talk radio experience is extensive (including in Spanish).
Ira Mehlman
Media Director
Ira joined FAIR in 1986 with experience as a journalist, professor of journalism, special assistant to Gov. Richard Lamm (Colorado), and press secretary of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. His columns have appeared in National Review, LA Times, NY Times, Washington Post, Newsweek,, and more. He is an experienced TV and radio commentator.
Joyce Mucci
Regional Field Representative
Joyce, who joined FAIR in 2007, develops member and activist support throughout the United States. Joyce uses her knowledge, experience, and passion about the issue to educate the media and public on immigration issues.
Robert Najmulski
Field Representative
Robert joined FAIR February 2009 with 28 years of law enforcement experience as a Deputy Sheriff in Orange and Los Angeles Counties in California and Allen County, Ohio. He created and ran the Criminal Alien Task Force (2006) in Allen County and worked solely on criminal alien issues for 18 counties in northwest Ohio. Robert has conducted extensive public awareness and local government meetings regarding illegal immigration, and maintains peace officer status in the state of Ohio.
Jessica Nance
Social Networking Consultant
Jessica, who joined FAIR in 2008, started at FAIR as the Government Relations intern and after two internships, became an Associate. Jessica is currently FAIR's social networking expert assisting the FAIR Web team in its outreach efforts using various social networking sites.
Eric Ruark
Director of Research
Eric joined our team in 2008. He provides research and drafts for issue briefs, reports, and other publications. Eric has a variety of experience in academic fields and uses that assist FAIR with its current and future projects.
Susan Tully
National Field Director
Susan joined the FAIR staff in 2002. She is a former business owner, manager for municipal code enforcement, immigration coordinator for the Coalition of Government Officials (southern California), and president of Citizens Committee for Immigration Policy. Susan manages FAIR's extensive and national Field Program. She develops members and activist support and educates the media and public on immigration issues.
Danielle Tyler
Planned Giving Officer
Danielle joined FAIR in 2011. She manages FAIR's Planned Giving program whose goal is to reach and educate donors about the variety of ways establishing a planned gift will preserve and fulfill the organization's mission.
Veronica Washington
Government Relations Legislative Administrator
Veronica joined FAIR in 1990. She is responsible for providing administrative support to government relations and legislative staff. Veronica has a variety of institutional knowledge and combined with her clerical and organizational skills works well with many programs within the organization. Veronica maintains her knowledge of current news and media stories related to the organization and the issue.
Margie Wilkinson
Development Associate
Margie, who joined FAIR in 1982, is a valuable foundation proposal writer. Margie uses her experience to advise FAIR on grant writing techniques. She brings to FAIR not only her knowledge and experience but also her ability to form outstanding relationships with those outside of the organization.
Crystal Williams
Human Resources/Office Assistant
Crystal joined FAIR in 2011. She is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all human resources functions, including payroll and employee benefits. Crystal also provides general office support. Crystal brings to FAIR a background in Sociology, government experience, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree focused in Human Resources Management.
Kristen Williamson
Press Secretary
Kristen joined FAIR in 2010. She is responsible for producing and editing media material and maintaining relationships with reporters and producers. Kristen brings her knowledge of international affairs and experience as a congressional staffer to FAIR.
Steve Young
Web Strategy Manager
Steve, who joined FAIR in November of 2008, brings to FAIR the necessary knowledge of online marketing strategies. Steve is responsible for increasing and maintaining FAIR's very important online presence.
