Dan Stein, President
Prior to joining FAIR in 1982, Dan was executive director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute. His legal experience includes private practice and as congressional staff. He has testified more than 50 times before Congress. Cited in the media as "America's best known immigration reformer," he has appeared on virtually every significant TV and radio news/talk program in America and has contributed commentaries to a vast number of print media outlets.
Bob Dane, Executive Director
Bob has been with FAIR since 2006 serving as the organization's Press Secretary and Communications Director. His deep belief is that immigration is the most transformational determinant of where we are heading as a nation and that our policies must be reformed in the public interest. Over many years, on thousands of radio, TV and print interviews, Bob has argued that unless immigration is regulated and sensibly reduced, it will be difficult for America to reduce unemployment, increase wages, improve health care and education and heighten national security.
Dave Ray, Communications Director
Dave rejoined FAIR in 2016 and brings more than thirty years of proactive communications experience working with non-profits, trade associations and the private sector. Dave has written and placed op-eds in more than 100 publications for national and state leaders in fields ranging from immigration to agriculture policy, food and energy. Ray has served as a chief spokesman for several national organizations and has extensive radio and television experience as well.
Ira Mehlman, Media Director
Ira joined FAIR in 1986 with experience as a journalist, professor of journalism, special assistant to Gov. Richard Lamm (Colorado), and press secretary of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. His columns have appeared in National Review, LA Times, NY Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, and more. He is an experienced TV and radio commentator.
Jack Martin, Spokesperson
Jack, who joined FAIR in 1995, is a retired U.S. diplomat with consular experience. He has testified before the U.S. Congress, U.S. Civil Rights Commission, and U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform and has authored studies of immigration issues. His national and international print, TV, and talk radio experience is extensive (including in Spanish).
