FAIR Spokespersons

Dan Stein
Dan Stein, President

Prior to joining FAIR in 1982, Dan was executive director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute. His legal experience includes private practice and as congressional staff. He has testified more than 50 times before Congress. Cited in the media as "America's best known immigration reformer," he has appeared on virtually every significant TV and radio news/talk program in America and has contributed commentaries to a vast number of print media outlets.

Bob Dane
Bob Dane, Executive Director

Bob has been with FAIR since 2006 serving as the organization's Press Secretary and Communications Director. His deep belief is that immigration is the most transformational determinant of where we are heading as a nation and that our policies must be reformed in the public interest. Over many years, on thousands of radio, TV and print interviews, Bob has argued that unless immigration is regulated and sensibly reduced, it will be difficult for America to reduce unemployment, increase wages, improve health care and education and heighten national security.

Ira Mehlman
Ira Mehlman, Media Director

Ira joined FAIR in 1986 with experience as a journalist, professor of journalism, special assistant to Gov. Richard Lamm (Colorado), and press secretary of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. His columns have appeared in National Review, LA Times, NY Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, and more. He is an experienced TV and radio commentator.

Anna Giaritelli, Press Secretary

Anna joined FAIR in 2014. She serves as the primary contact for all press calls and is responsible for writing and producing media material and newsletters, building relationships with reporters and producers, and assisting senior staff. Anna has experience reporting for CQ Roll Call, The Washington Examiner and Cox Media Group. Her background in congressional reporting and a firm grasping of newsworthiness will further assist the media department at FAIR.
